Sponsorships provide a way to financially support our largest project since our inception, PODS Next Generation: a commitment to PODS as a standard and to a transformed data model. This investment will be leveraged with other members, efficiently allowing us to continue moving forward on this initiative.
“This is the biggest undertaking of the Association since we organized and we are excited about what it can mean for the industry—simplified data management with enhanced capabilities.”
–Paul Herrmann, PODS Association President
A BIG thank you to our first three sponsors:
We have received our first Gold Level Sponsor for the PODS Next Generation Initiative from Dynamic Risk. A BIG thank you goes out to them for supporting this project.
“Dynamic Risk welcomes the opportunity to sponsor this initiative as we recognize and have, along with our operator partners, benefitted from the significant collaboration of the PODS organization.”
— Edgar Sweet, Vice President, Dynamic Risk
Also, PG&E just stepped up to support PODS Next Generation.
And most recently, andeavor (formerly Tesoro) joined the team with a Platinum Sponsorship!
WHY DO WE NEED SPONSORSHIPS?
- To meet new contactor costs and achieve project schedule 35% faster than previously. PODS has historically been volunteer-driven, with all work on PODS policy and work plan implementation done by member-volunteers. This year we are also using contractors to meet project milestones.
WHAT YOUR SPONSORSHIP WILL DO – FOR YOU AND FOR THE INDUSTRY:
- Complete Phase 1 by year-end and initiate multi-phase rollout. Phase 1 will define PODS core and design, and document a data interchange specification. An aggressive timeline has been launched and progress will be reported at the 2016 Pipeline Week Conference. Contact us to receive more information about Phase 1.
- Develop prototype of logical and physical data model and draft data exchange specification.
- Deliver 35% faster than previous PODS projects. Our members have made it clear—this is what is needed in today’s market and regulatory environment.
