SMEWant more from PODS?

One look at the PODS Data Model - and the value to a pipeline operator is obvious.  However, you might ask the question...

"How do I get more?"

ask_expert

The fact is there is a wealth of PODS knowledge available.

An active technical organization and PODS user network are right here, but...

"How do I tap into it?"

The PODS Technical Forum makes it easy to connect with other PODS users, and with the PODS Technical Committee and Board of Directors.

All posts on both the PODS Technical Forum and Wiki-PODS are shown by Username, not email address.  Therefore, members do not need to identify their name or company when posting a question or response, unless they choose to.

If your company is a member of PODS, create your login right now, and you can be browsing through the existing dialogues, utilizing keyword search on a specific topic, or posting new questions to the PODS Technical Committee today.

SunocoMember Spotlight

Sunoco Logistics

Sunoco Logistics has recently completed an update of their GIS to a PODS data model.  The project  has completed stages that include data migration and paper data conversion, which are complete, and Sunoco is now moving forward with maintenance and distribution tools.

One of the tools being implemented is a web-mapping tool named Decision Support System, or DSS for short. This tool allows Sunoco Logistics staff to link to a mapping interface through the intranet, and obtain information about facilities, pipelines, and other information contained in PODS. The system itself uses ESRI and Microsoft Silver Light technology to present the user with an easy to use data rich environment.
