PODS BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTIONS  

 

NOMINATIONS ARE NOW BEING ACCEPTED, AND ARE DUE NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, JANUARY 27, 2012. 

 



ONLY PODS MEMBER COMPANIES IN GOOD STANDING MAY SUBMIT A CANDIDATE, OR MAY VOTE IN THE UPCOMING BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTIONS. 

 

To be considered in Good Standing, PODS member companies must have paid their 2012 membership dues.  To confirm that your company is a PODS member in Good Standing, or to find out who the designated voting member for your company is,

 

please contact the Executive Director.


 

The PODS Association is accepting nominations for the PODS Board of Directors.

 

 Election to the PODS Board of Directors is an important and prestigious honor.  The Board may include up to eleven (11) Directors from member companies, who collectively guide the Association's priorities, activities, and strategic direction during their two-year term.    

 

 

 

Six (6) Directors' positions are up for election in 2012.

 

 

 

Candidates may be self-nominated, or recommended by their peers.  To be eligible for this election, all candidates must return the completed Board Candidate Questionnaire to the PODS Secretary by close-of-business on Friday, January 27, 2012.  If you would like to recommend an individual, please notify them and request they complete and return the Board Candidate Questionnaire by this deadline.

      Minimum Eligibility Requirements

Elections will be held via online ballot from February 15th through February 29th, 2012. 
The designated voting member from each PODS-member company in Good Standing will be able to cast one vote for each of the six (6) available Board of Directors positions.  

 

Election results will be announced on Thursday, March 8th, 2012.     

 



EligibilityCandidates must meet these Minimum Eligibility Requirements  

  • Your   company's PODS membership is in Good Standing.
  • You have the support of your management to participate in PODS Board meetings.


Time2Required Time Commitment

Participation on the Board of Directors generally requires 4 to 6 hours per month.  
 

The primary responsibilities of the Board include: 

  • General oversight of the Association. 
  • Establishing strategic direction and priorities for the Association, the Technical Committee, and the Executive Director.

These responsibilities are typically accomplished via the following activities:

  • Monthly Board teleconference meetings and supplemental meetings as required; these are generally 1.5 hours each.
  • Two to three face-to-face meetings each year.  These meetings are generally scheduled in conjunction with ESRI PUG (April) and GITA GIS for Oil & Gas (October) Conferences, and generally last 1.5 to 2 days each.

Candidates for the 2012 PODS Board of Directors Elections will be announced on Monday, February 6th.

 

Voting will be conducted via electronic ballot from February 13 - 27, 2012.


Each member company's designated Voting Member will be asked to cast a vote for each of the six (6) open Board seats.   To find out who the voting member for you company is, please contact the Executive Director.


Election results will be announced on March 8, 2012.
